Inside the project

The nursery's knowledge, connected to its daily work.

A breeder needs to know which parents produced a promising seedling and how it has developed. Dachain Operations lets the nursery follow that history as staff record observations and select plants to keep. We brought publishing and sales into the same application, so the team can use its growing knowledge to prepare profiles for collectors and manage each plant's availability.

01 / The challenge

Keep the history as the nursery grows.

One cross can produce several batches and many seedlings. As those plants grow, breeders need to remember what they observed and why they selected one specimen over another. Staff preparing a plant for sale need that same history, together with the right photographs and current availability.

02 / The approach

Follow each plant through the nursery.

Breeders can record a cross, follow its batches and document how individual seedlings develop. Content staff use that history to prepare plant profiles and photographs for collectors, with review and preview before publication. The team can then manage the specimen's listing, order and shipping in the same application.

Breeding and propagation records

Breeders can record parent plants, follow propagation batches and note the traits of individual seedlings. As they select plants to keep, they retain the observations and decisions behind each choice.

Lineage and breeding analysis

Breeding leads can compare the results of different parent plants, review which traits appeared and see how many seedlings progressed through selection. An ancestry view lets them investigate the family behind a result.

Control over the public website

Content staff can prepare plant profiles, collections and journal entries in English and Thai. They can review revisions, preview the visitor experience and choose when to publish.

Commerce tied to individual plants

The team sells a specific plant with its own published history. Staff can manage its listing, check order holds and payments, and follow shipping as that specimen leaves the nursery.

Media and content preparation

Staff can upload photographs and associate them with the plants they show. AI can help prepare content, with review and approval before its suggestions become part of a plant's published story.

Workspaces for the nursery team

Breeding leads, technicians and content staff each have a view of their responsibilities. Administrators can manage access and review who changed information when a question arises.
